The Neuro-Trauma Care Unit has more than 10 years experience in the care of brain-injured patients. We are certified in Neuroscience and Stroke Assessment, involved in Stroke Team and Trauma Team and have a dedicated team of Neurosurgeons, Neurologists, and Trauma Surgeons.
The 11 bed Neuro-Trauma Intensive Care Unit at Parkview Medical Center treats patients with the following conditions:
- Major Multiple Trauma
- Brain / Head Injury
- Spinal Cord Injury
- Epilepsy
- Stroke
- Pediatric Neuro-Trauma patients
- Medical ICU
- Overflow patients
In order to provide specialized care that our patients conditions demand, we have established visiting hours. These will allow you to spend time with your loved ones and at the same time allow our staff to give patients the care they need. Visiting hours may be adjusted according to the unit's activity and patient needs. There may be times you will be asked to leave.
Immediate family members are expected to make and enforce decisions about visitors. This includes who can visit, when to visit and how long they can stay.
